CV uploads and recommendations
When you upload a CV or paste text, our server extracts the text and compares skills and keywords with job listings. The current matcher does not send your CV to an external AI model, store it in the application database, or submit it to employers.
Uploaded files are held temporarily by the server while the request is processed. Your CV text and results are returned to your browser. Avoid uploading unnecessary sensitive information. If external AI processing is introduced, we will update this notice and explain that processing before you use the affected feature.
Other information we process
- Accounts, when enabled: Google account identifier, name, email and profile picture, plus access status. Google handles your Google sign-in; we do not receive your Google password.
- Job alerts: email address, signup information including IP address, subscription status and an unsubscribe token. Each alert provides an unsubscribe option.
- Support and reports: information you provide in emails or issue reports. Historical service requests may include contact details and the brief originally submitted.
- Technical information: session identifiers, IP addresses, browser/request information and server error logs used to operate the site and prevent abuse.
Why we use information
We use information to deliver requested matches and alerts, authenticate accounts, manage access, answer support requests, and maintain security. Where a lawful basis is required, this may include providing a requested service, consent for optional features, legitimate interests in operating and securing the site, and legal obligations.
Service providers and external links
Hosting and email providers process information needed to run the service. Google processes sign-in information when Google sign-in is used. CV Job Finder does not use a payment checkout. Providers may process information in countries other than your own.
Following an employer link takes you to a separate website. That site's privacy policy applies to information you provide there.
Cookies
The application uses a session cookie for session state and authentication features. Google sign-in may use its own cookies or storage when loaded. You can manage cookies in your browser, although blocking necessary cookies may prevent sign-in from working.
Retention and your choices
CV contents are not intentionally retained in our application database after matching. Other records can remain in our database, support mailbox, logs or hosting backups for service operation, security, dispute handling or legal requirements. Unsubscribing stops alerts but does not automatically erase every associated record.
Contact us to request access, correction or deletion of your information, or to raise a privacy concern. We may need to verify the request and retain information where legally required. Depending on your location, you may also have rights to object, restrict processing, obtain a portable copy, withdraw consent, or complain to a data-protection authority.
